Recycleit
42When you get a new computer, you are excited and ready to turn it on and see what it can do. Don't forget your old one though! First thing to do would be to take any information on that computer, such as pictures, files, videos and personal data. For those of you who have teenagers, a computer of their very own is a dream come true. One option might be to add more speed or memory, if that is why it was replaced in the first place, then set all the blockers you need to to keep them off the sites they are not allowed to visit. Keep the password and user id for the computer so that you can always get on it to check what they are doing! Like it or not, they have to deal with it or loose their computer. Another option might be to use it around the house for word processing or finances. You could keep all your financial records and such on the old computer and the fun stuff on the new one. If none of this sounds good to you and you don't want to have it cluttered in the corner, then find a dealer to buy your used computer. If you are going to do this, however, you may want to reformat your hardrive. This would clear everything off of it so none of your personal information would still be on it. Just be sure to take anything off of the computer before you reformat the hardrive, because it will all be gone. You can find dealers in your local newspapers and even have the option of selling it on the web. Check the online auction sites for their rules and guidelines for selling electronics. The last thing that you could do is donate it to a local charity. Many of them can not afford to buy a lot of computers, so when they are donated it lessens the burden on them to provide for the kids and adults that may use the service. I really hope this was helpful!

Very helpful!
I'm sure many people won't think of recycling their computer and will just toss it. I hope your advice spreads far and wide, giving all computers hope. Allowing them to live an extended life!
People hear this plea. Your computer doesn't want to be junked! Think of how lonely it would be... how lonely its peers would become... neither being in each other's network.
Help your computer to live a happy and extended life. Recycle it!
